Shiguanshuo The Spicy Hot Pot In Northeast China
Description

These are a malatang style noodles claiming to be in the style of "Northeast China".
These are sold under the brand "Shi Guang Shuo" by a company called "Heilongjiang Longhai Food Co., Ltd" located in Hailun city where it is also manufactured.

I think this is the first instant noodles I’ve had that uses paper packaging. There are a lot of variations of these noodles and mine seems to be the least interesting.

I got these for about AUD$3.50.

These noodles were pretty good.
The corn noodles where a welcome change from the usual plain wheat.
They were soft and had a corn-husk smell. I liked them.
Unlike the videos above, my packet did not come with any seafood or meat.

It was difficult to extract the contents from most of the sauce sachets and i ended up with quite a mess.
It had a single slice of lotus root, which i quite like and is a very underrated vegetable.
It also had a few slices of potato and a few cuts of Jews Ear.

It had a peanut butter sachet which had the usually problem of not dissolving properly.

Having had Malatang before, i was expecting the spice levels to be astronomical but they were surprisingly tame.

Overall, this was OK value but not fantastic.
